Music

Hindsight  is a look back on the past four years of my life and has been in the making for over a year. It's about love, loss, imposter syndrome, and eventually healing with time. This album has a somber feel and is filled with orchestral and ambient tracks, along with some non-traditional beats and instrumentation. Hindsight crosses genre barriers, but feels the most like me and my own style than any music I've put out thus far. I’m so so happy to have this out in the world now.

Drifting is a song I wrote during the pandemic shutdowns. I think a lot of people can relate to this sentiment of just floating and not knowing where you’re going, but trying to fake it till you make it.

Released November 11, 2022

This track is so special to me and is dedicated to my late grandma, Mariella. I loved her more than anyone in the world, and this song is meant to be a tribute to her and all she meant to me. She was my grandma, but more than that, she felt like home to me.

Losing her in 2020 was incredibly difficult. That’s when I ended up writing this song. I felt like I couldn’t fully express what she meant to me in words, but with music and production around those words & lyrics, I think I got to a pretty good place with it. This is one of my favorites from my upcoming album.

Released on October 14, 2022.

This song means a lot to me. It's an ode to saying goodbye to my childhood home that was put on the market this year. It's a bittersweet feeling.

Not for You is Gracie's second EP. In this album, Hays tells her story of an emotionally abusive and manipulative relationship. In three tracks, she explores themes of love, betrayal, and loss. She tells her story to empower other women to recognize the strength within themselves, and to value their self-worth. Not for You is a story from the life of the artist, Gracie Hays. In this self-produced three track EP, she sheds light on what it is like to be in a manipulative, abusive relationship from her own personal experience.

Guidelines is Gracie's debut album; this was the first time she shared her original music with the world. Guidelines is a collection of songs about true life experiences about inequality, love, and the tug-of-war between perceived success and happiness.
